DayHab welcomes Consultant Psychiatrist, Dr Ranvir Sood to the team
Dr Sood is a Consultant Psychiatrist with expertise in the assessment and treatment of addiction disorders of all kinds. He has worked with over 3000 clients suffering moderate to severe addictions to ice, speed, cannabis, opiates, cocaine, alcohol and other substances, and also with gambling and sex addiction. He specializes in assessing the motivations that drive addiction and in helping not only the individual, but also their partner or family members to help the person who is struggling with these problems. His approach to recovery takes into account the whole person, their development and coping mechanisms, and their network including family.
Dr Sood has background of extensive experience as a clinical psychiatrist dealing with the full range of mental health issues, as well as additional training in child and adolescent psychiatry (RANZCP) and in family therapy (Bouverie). He has previously held long standing appointments as a Senior Consultant in State Psychiatric Services at Geelong and Mont Park, as well as an Associate in Psychiatry at both Monash and Melbourne Universities, and as Clinical Dean for the Melbourne University’s Northern Psychiatric Campus. He has had considerable involvement in the training of psychiatrists and supervision of drug and alcohol workers.
He currently runs a private practice specializing in Psychiatry as well as providing guidance, support and therapy for people, who have had serious addiction problems and their families, after they have completed rehab program.

Craig Harper joins the DayHab Team
We are excited to announce that Craig Harper has joined the DayHab team! Craig will be delivering weekly seminars on Health, Fitness and Nutrition at DayHab Glen Waverley to assist clients to create and maintain a healthy approach to their recovery.
About Craig Harper (B.Ex.Sci.)
Craig Harper is one of Australia’s leading presenters, writers and educators in the areas of high-performance and personal transformation. Craig has been an integral part of the Australian fitness industry since 1982 and in that time has worked as an exercise scientist, corporate speaker and consultant, university lecturer, AFL conditioning coach, radio host, TV presenter, writer and successful business owner. In 1990 Craig established Harper’s Personal Training, which evolved into one of the most successful businesses of its kind in the world and inhabited the Australian fitness landscape for almost a quarter of a century.
